Josh Zaretsky
Josh Zaretsky’s work at Altman Solon focuses on product portfolio planning, marketing optimization, new business models, and the software, cloud, and network infrastructure spaces. Josh is based at the firm’s San Francisco office. Josh’s particular area of interest is at the intersection of consumer and small business technology needs and cloud-enabled business models. His recent engagements include assisting a major consumer electronics manufacturer refine and launch its new tablet, helping a leading software vendor explore new SaaS opportunities, and developing an operational improvement roadmap for the $1B marketing organization of a large technology company.
Josh has spent the bulk of his career assisting technology companies with their product, marketing, and growth strategies at top consulting firms such as Gartner, Oliver Wyman and Accenture. Josh has also held operational roles at Cisco, and led product marketing at Meraki, a startup backed by Sequoia Capital and Google (acquired by Cisco). He served on the Advisory Board to Warrillow and Co., (acquired by the Corporate Executive Board Co.), an advisory firm focused on the small business segment. Josh started his career as a speechwriter, and then worked in the Middle East assisting clients with their market entry strategies. He has co-authored several books on Middle East economics. Josh has an M.B.A. from Cornell and B.A. degrees in economics and political science from the University of California, Davis.
