Strategy consulting firm specializing in Telecom, Media, & Technology establishes local team in Mexico
Mexico City – Altman Solon, the world’s largest strategy consulting firm focused on Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT), today announced it has opened a Mexico City office as the firm expands its presence in Latin America. The office will serve as the hub for Altman Solon’s Latin American operations as the firm recruits new talent to serve clients throughout the region, with a core focus on Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, and Peru.
“While the office is new, Altman Solon for several years has been working with TMT clients in Latin America, particularly in Mexico,” said Altman Solon Partner Mario Quijada, who co-leads Latin American engagements. “Despite the tough global economic conditions due to COVID-19, Mexico and Latin America possess potential for innovation and long-term growth across TMT sectors dynamic potential for long-term growth in the innovation sectors. The Mexico City office will help us better serve our current clients and create relationships with more TMT companies throughout the region.”
Altman Solon has hired Heberto Molina, a Mexico native with extensive strategy consulting experience in Latin America, to lead the new office in the Lomas de Chapultepec neighborhood, a dynamic area that is home to many global technology brands. Molina is leading local team recruitment with plans to bring new talent on board in the next few months.

Molina recently led B2C strategy and sales operations at Telefónica Mexico and previously worked at McKinsey & Co. and Booz & Co., covering Latin America. He earned accounting and finance degrees at ITESM in Monterrey, Mexico, and an MBA from the University of Rochester in the U.S.
Quijada joined Altman Solon (then Altman Vilandrie & Company) in 2006 and has worked with Latin American clients for more than a decade. Quijada holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Systems Engineering from the Universidad Metropolitana in Venezuela.
Torras joined Altman Solon in 2019 after two decades of experience in Media and Telecommunications in Latin America and globally, including top positions at Millicom, Delta Partners, and ESPN. Daniel earned an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands and an M.S. in Telecommunications from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain.
